If you look at next weeks preview it looks like Marlo and Michael are going to throw down. It could be Cutty as well, but Marlow is going to be throwing down with some light skin dude.

If the wire tap is deemed illegal - There is no drugs, no bust, and no case; Marlo walks!!

I agree that may happen...Levy told Marlo he most likely wouldn't get bail, but in the preview for next weeks episode you see Marlo out and on the streets - that made me think. I hope that Marlo doesn't get off that easy, with all the crooked politics in the city though, you betta believe they'll find a way to place some blame on McNulty but still making the charges stick on Marlo and his crew!

The end will not justify the means, because Levy will use the illegal wire tap to get Marlo off!!! McNulty really f'd up this time - he's done!!

Alright people...Omar is dead and I have proof.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2008/02/24/entertainment/e165244S34.DTL&type=health

Here Michael Williams talks about his death on the Wire. If he confirms it himself...lets go ahead and put these conspiracy theories to rest. More importantly, I think we all agree Kima snitching was jacked up, but...

HOW DOES EVERYONE FEEL ABOUT MCNULTY'S LYING. Does the end justify the means...? Is Marlo and his crews bust worth all the lying and mismanaged police work, or did Mcnulty go to far this time???

Well the part I think you're forgetting is the part where Omar is seen ordering a pack of Newports, and a bullet clearly rips his skull open at a million miles per second, and he lies motionless on the floor for hours while detectives comb the scene, then they find in his hand a piece of paper with all of Stanfield's crew and where they hang and stash their packages, which Omar has coincidentally been using for two episodes to extract his revenge. To me that tells me that Omar is indeed dead.

I thought episode 59 was one the best episodes of Wire all time. But I don't know about it being the best. I still feel that the demise of Marlo, Snoop and crew does not carry the same weight to the audience of Barksdale and Bell giving each other up, and Bell falling in the same episode that the detail's year long chase gives way to the success of getting Stinger on the phone. The memory of the scene with Sting and Avon reminiscing, looking out over the harbor, both knowing that they have set the other up to fall the next day still gives me the chills. That was just an all-timer. Also the episode where Stringer comes clean to Avon about taking out D'Angelo..."All this work, you think we gonna let him take down you, me, the whole show...ooohhh no", seething from his mouth like a terrier. And Frank Sobotka walking toward his demise under the bridge was very powerful as well, and the Greeks pulling out of town as the cops raid, finding nothing beyond a full ashtray and an empty vodka bottle. But this eposode certainly ranks up there. Marlo sitting in a cell bugging out over his name being punked out in the street...we got to see the psychopath in Marlo for the first time in a long while, and perhaps more deeply than ever.

This season has just not been as multi-tiered as seasons in the past. The plot rhythms seem to be quicker, not as jarringly effective, so even when the Stanfield crew falls, it just doesn't carry the same weight -- except maybe for poor Lester finally getting his day in the sun after 5 long years (or night by the tracks as it were)! IN the mood for some lovin. Too much! It has been a lot of fun for sure, a fun and faster moving season, but a bit much like an album without enough space in the music, as opposed to the Shakespearian masterpieces that were seasons 1-4. Episodes 59, again, was Shakespearian in its own right, and all the episodes have been a lot of fun. Just...well, we will see how episode 60 does in defining 51-59.

I suppose also it has to do with the fact that there is just not the "tragedy" involved in watching the plight of newspaper journalists as there is an 4 young schoolboys and a crumbling educational system, or ghetto justice, or broken and corrupt dockworkers. Journalists always seem to equate their importance to that of Moses on the mountain, when the truth is that the public as large - while indeed perhaps ignorant to the journalists' full worth - really couldn't give a rat's ass. It is naturally a crusade for David Simon and the writers (and why not?), but...it's just harder for people to invest their emotions as deeply into their plight as in seasons past.

All that said, The Wire is still the best show that's ever been put on TV, and this season CERTAINLY hasn't tarnished its reputation or legacy. Maybe it's a bit like Miles Davis' '80's work, after he spent 4 decades revolutionizing music. It didn't revolutionize music, but it doesn't change the fact that he did. To everyone at The Wire: we will all be sad to see you go. :( You lookin' good, girl!

He's only limping in front of people so they think he's gimpy, and report back to the soldiers that he can't even walk. Clearly, from his hit on Savino and ambush of F.F. Rick, he can move pretty good. It just backfired, when gave some kid the courage to take him out. Omar could've never seen himself go out like that.

I also hope Dukie finds his way out the streets. He is really a good kid. I don't want to see anything bad happen to him.

Episode 59

This episode literally made me cry. When Michael dropped off Bug and Dukie that had to be the saddest thing I have ever seen in my life. I feel bad for all the children out there that have lost their childhood to the streets like that. I wondered why Michael didn't just try to go live with the Aunt or why he didn't just take his brother far far away and start a new life (although not 16, I don't think). I hate to see Duke going to live with the homeless, trash selling, drug addicts. It's like he has come full circle back to where he started--living with addicts.

Ok enough of the sadness. :(

I was happy to see Snoop get got! Whew! I feel so much better. I loved it when she turned to look in the mirror and asked how her hair looked. That scene was priceless!!! Favorite line of the episode was Mike "You look good girl." then he blows her head off!!! I love it! Genius! I also loved how she said what was evident from the start--Michael was never one of them. I LOVE MICHAEL!!! That young man is a great actor and I love his character. I just hope that he finds his way out of the game.

Now Marlo is trying to act all hard like he would have stepped to Omar had he known Omar was calling him out...yeah right bitch ass! Clearly that is so evident from how you were hiding out while Omar was back and sending others to try to do your dirt for you...you have a lot to say now that Omar is bagged up you weak ass boy.

All in all a great episode. Can't wait til the reporter gets his ass beat with barbed wire.

Damn, I almost forgot...Kema's bitch ass snitched. I am literally disgusted. I was disgusted with McNulty for doing it but even more disgusted with her for being the snitch bitch.
