Prez was a huge screw up and his life took a positive turn when he went to work at the school. His influence on his students such as dookie and others will prob never be forgotten.
And Carver for example, who was always doing stupid ass things with Hurc finally grew up in a big way. I loved how he said that he used to think things didn't matter and now he realizes what a huge difference he can make.
Bunny is another example of progress from the streets to the police to the school.
And not to mention our friend the ladykiller Boxing Man who used to run with Avon and was in prison and then turned his life totally around.
Hopefully we can add bubles to this list as well. His story is truly unique. He's been sober for so long I really hope he stays that way.

Jesse James and Bill Hickok were both legends who had escaped death on many occassions, who were eventually killed by being shot in the back of the head by insignificant pieces of shit. Omar always was The Wire's version of a wild west outlaw, so I find the ending quite fitting.

I hate the fact that They say Omar dies but because this show is a true street show I believe Kennard does do it. It would be to hard for somebody that is somebody to kill OMAR!!! It would have to be a nobody to get the drop on him. But I hope he lives for ever. A Where is the episode that he grabs mike on his corner I would like to see that one. Any help would be grateful....

prop joe was one of the smartest characters on the show.. it wasn't until cheese betrayed him did anyone ever finally catch up to him.. i want to know more about the greeks though.. even in season 2 you didn't really find out much except they are the real bad asses of b-more.. it would be cool if marlo's whole crew got whiped out by them but you know that won't happen.. i keep hearing it's cutty that smokes marlo in the end

I read a rumor that Kenard kills Omar for revenge after Omar kills Michael during another shoot-out. There's a scene before this where Omar walks by a group of kids and just dismisses them.
Oh, and Dukie starts smoking crack after Michael dies. Somebody said Mr. Prezbo finds him on the street homeless.

I hope there's an alternative ending because I'm with you guys. Omar the Terror can't go out like that. I hate that little bastard kenard. Somebody needs to beat his little ass. Mike did it in season 4, but he needs a good one. Omar has cheated death four seasons and it is kind of hard to accept him going out by a kid. I know it makes sense to do it that way Simon. We all know Omar has always had a soft spot for the youngins and even the dope fiends who couldn't afford to buy his dope. He would let his guard down by a kid for sure. but I hope Simon explains this one after all the shows have aired.

Money will make a lot of people do a lot of things 4sure. Mike, Snoop, Chris, anybody but Kenard??!!! I could even check reality at the door and say Randy after being in the group home he's been hardened; he actually could sneak up on Omar catch him slippin',we know how much he loved money and wanted to be an entrepreneur.....but KENARD??!!!!
That just screws with my mental....

They is no way this happens. Just an alternate ending. Would you ever expect Omar to get shot in the head, in a store, by a kid? Come on! Omar would already know about the money on his head. And since he rushes Michaels corner to get word out to Marlo, he already knows about the kids who work the corner. Omar was in the game as a kid and knows what it's about.
