The lack of development on Chris Partlow's character was the biggest disappointment in season 5. He accepts life and admits to all the vacants for what? For Marlo and that he takes care of his people!!!! I don't understand his character at all. This guy is ok with being locked up for life but was worried off his ass that Omar was gonna find his people. He takes the fall and Marlo walks. Chris is a punk bitch and Marlo knows it. He was smart and played his puppets to take the fall. Chris was invisible in this season and thats unbelievable. The stupid paper took away from the real stories.............theres just the street and the game........

not everyone is CEO material. Chris knew his role. He was a soldier; point blank end of story. If you look at the underword, Mafia, there were plenty of underbosses and associates who were 10 times more fierce and lethal than The Boss. They either waited their turn, were killed or inprisoned. Few coups have ever been successful without a lot of planning or inside cooperation. Its best to either wait, move on, or simply accept your role.

Because he's in the game, and he knows that he's either going to get caught or killed eventually. It's a reality everyone in the game faces and he probably knew it was coming (like Snoop did). There's nothing else for him to do then assure his family gets the attention he won't be able to give them.

The 'inmates smuggling guns into Baltimore' jail article is very real. My first cousin was in jail recently and he and I would talk at length while he was inside the jail. The guards aren't right either. Someone would come to the cell and cuz would say "hold on KUTM" and talk to the guards, fellow inmates and make moves all in the cell and on the phone with me.
The Wire was something else and Baltimore City is no joke. The writers couldn't have picked a better city to show everything; and my cousin is a member of the Bloods and he's in his fawtys. WTF is up wit dat?

It's just part of the job. He had to fall on the sword. As for Marlo being a "punk ass bitch," I'm not buying it. You don't take the crown by being a punk. You can't even dream of the crown until you put in work. Marlo can handle himself well enough.

o-dogg was whining & bitching in levy's office. he too independent to take the blame for someone else.
after chris got jailed, the first words outta his mouth is... do i still got to take those charges for y'all????
o-dogg ain't going to jail & doing time.
see... this kid was normal. he was smart like that.

I think Chris knew if he did not take the deal that his family would not be looked out for. Marlo would not get out of jail and I think he would have had him killed for not going along with him. Then his family would have been outta luck for sure with no one to watch out for him. With Omar dead they are safe and will have money from Marlo.

laketrout...you right! It's amazing how everyone jumped through the hoops when homeless white men were supposedly being killed. But no one gave a rats ass when 22 black men were killed in the vacants.
I applaud McNulty & Freamon on what they accomplished. They proved a point, and it made the higher ups look real stupid. With McNulty, it was the prinicple of the thing. I think season 5 is the best. I really liked McNulty throughout the entire series.

I'm starting to watch season 5 again On Demand. I watched ep55 last night, and I can't believe Pearlman didn't dial that number 415-0909, which is actually Marlo's cell number, before getting that number, which she thinks is the serial killers number, looked into. Then she and Daniels go to the evidence room and are surprised that it's actually Marlo's cell number that has been tapped all along. Are they too stupid to look into what number is actually being tapped before putting a tap on a number? They thought they had a tap on the serial killers number, when it was Marlo's number McNulty & Freamon gave her to approve the tap. She sure is stupid for not checking out that number first.
