Dead bodies - moving eyes

Sorry to muck up the forums if this has been discussed before, but I searched the previous threads and Google and could not find anything on it.

As my wife and I are making our way through all five seasons of The Wire, I have noticed whenever they do a close up of a dead person's face, the eyes move or the eye lashes flicker. At first I thought it was bad editting, but then it hapenned more and more.

I checked the DVD commentary for the season 4 scene where Bunk and Lester first discover the bodies in the vacants, and one commentator notes that the actor moved his eyes while the other commentator kind of laughs under his breath.

Is this intentional? I Netflix the series, so I can't refer to previous episodes, but I distinctly recall other instances (for example when McNulty visits his dead human trafficing girl in the morgue). I'm interested in finding out if anyone else has noticed this and if there is some type of meaning to it. Thanks!
