Hello to all the WIRE EXPERTS!! I have a question I need help with; Was the final scene or the end of the last episode of season 2 where Nick Sobotka was walkind down the sidewalk stops to look through the fence staring into the view in front of him?? or was their another episode in that season?? I ran into some hardtimes @ that time in my life & I didn't get to watch THE WIRE on HBO ever since that episode of season 2!! been watching edited episodes on BET whatever season their broadcasting!! if the above scene wasn't the last scene of the last episode of season 2 and I missed the season 2 finale plz don't tell me what happens in the finale just tell me I missed the finale so I can watch it!! thanx take care!!

that was, IMO, the weakest of the five finales. Maybe my opinion is influenced by the fact that, of all of the great characters throughout the show, Nick Sobotka was one of my least favorite.
I guess it had to end with a dock worker, and since Frank was dead and Ziggy's in jail, Nick was the obvious choice. But I just didn't feel any connection with the scene or that it had any deep-rooted meaning. Maybe if he was out on his own, rather than in witness protection program, it would've had greater impact than walking along a fenceline with an FBI escort.
In Season 3, I felt Bunny Colvin's pain as he looked over what used to be Hamsterdam. Season 4, Namond watches Donut take off, the realization that the game just passed him by as he looks on from his new life with a functional family. Season 1 and 5, the game stays the same.
