I am disgusted how things turned out, I would like to come on to HBO and write at least 3 or 4 more seasons, If I had the chance to make a pilot episode I bet I could get all viewers from all seasons, because people who watched the first 2 seasons didnt neccessarily watch the 3rd and 4th and so forth, I know alot of people have alot of time and effort invested into the Wire, I know I havent caught everything, but I have the plot with the twists, turns, cliff hangers, finales, all the shit...I would just like a chance to holla at a represenative from HBO or a writer from The WIRE

Sad but true- I agree. It is simply not on par with the first four seasons. My impression of season 5 is that it is exactly what would have happened if they shot 13 (or 18) episodes and only showed the first 10, plus 30 minutes of babble... The low point was the death of Cheese. I know Slim Charles admitted previously that he is not CEO material, but you shoot a guy in front of about 12 witnesses? When it is not a sound business decision? Because it is "For Joe"... ? I never thought you would see such childish nonsense on this show but apparently Simon got fed up with the whole 10 episode thing as said to hell with it.

I was not happy with how some of the show ended. I thought things happened too fast in the last show and just were not real enough. I'm sure they try to make everyone happy but that just does not happen. I am glad we got to see The Wire as long as we did.

I have a couple of ideas and plots for the WIRE series, I would like to continue the series myself or at least come on to HBO and help the writers, while also acting on the show as a new character who just moves to baltimore, in real life, I have alot of connections in numerous cities, and Im also a paranoid schizophrenic....so Ive got a crazy mind already, I would like to express my idea and also bring in new chracters from other places and have a show for other places like Miami, Vegas, NY, and SF, if someone could get back to me it would be appreciated...shit if yall love the wire so much why not have someone new come in and revitalize and reinvigorate the series...
