You are 100% correct. It is not wrong or anyones place to say you are wrong to watch leaked episodes. I haven't because they are not in order but, if they were I would. It's not a BIG DEAL. People need to chill out.
I'm not sure that watching these episodes in advance is unfair to the writers and creators of this show. I actually pay for HBO each month and have for a few years. As we know the wire is done after season 5... so we know Simon and the others aren't out to make every last dollar they can from this show. Second, though I do have HBO, the only season I watched week to week was season 4 as that was the season that got me started. To be honest after watching season 1-2-3 at my own leisure and especially back to back was WAY I repeat WAY better. This week to week crap is awful, I fucking hate it... and those who think they are doing a great service to the creators of The Wire and HBO by watching them as they air... I don't think so. It's 2008 and after The Wire is over what does HBO have? FOTC... yes, Entourage... at 18 min per episode.... and what else? NOTHING! No more Rome, No more Carnivale, No more Deadwood, No more Sopranos.... why would you worry about a premium channel like that? I pay my monthly HBO so that I can watch the Wire... but I also pay my internet bill and if the internet can better fill my Wire needs

couple of episodes before theyre release but thats only cause i love the show so much that im willing to watch them out of order! im gonna watch them about a hundred times anyway! i wouldnt ruin it for anyone else though!

I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE WHO CLAIM OR APPEAR TO HAVE LOVE FOR THIS SHOW WOULD PUBLICIZE THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE WATCHED BOOTLEG OR UNAUTHORIZED COPIES OF IT.
WHO NEEDS THE SHOW TO UNVEIL IGNORANCE WHEN WE CAN COME ON THESE BOARDS AND SEE IT IN ALL ITS GLORY.
I'M SURE THE ACTORS, WRITERS AND PRODUCERS APPRECIATE YOUR ABUSE OF THEIR WORK.
