Freamon's hard work pays off with a promising lead, though McNulty isn't in the mood to celebrate. "Deserve ain't got nothin' to do with it." Snoop 1) Snoop takes O-Dog to Levy's office to take the gun charge from last year. He doesn't want to take the charge but does at the behest of Snoop, 2) Chris checks the re-supply, not just a re-up, and it is 120 kilos of heroin. The police follow him to the spot based on pictures from Marlo to Chris and the rest of the crew, 3) Steintorf tells Rawls and Daniels that the Mayor needs a 10% decrease in crime stats - basically telling them they need to go back to the old days of juking stats, 4) Lester tells Daniels that they are ready to arrest Marlo and his crew - this is music to Daniel's ears because they need a big arrest to make Carcetti and the department look good, 5) The re-supply is busted and Monk is caught with 8 kilos and Cheese is busted with some heroin also and Chris is arrested by Bunk on the murder warrant. Marlo is arrested by Lester, 6) Snoop and O-Dog go to Michael's house to watch the Mayor's announcement of the drug bust, 7) Alma asks Daniels for a quote and he refuses to give a detailed quote because Templeton mis-quoted him last year - this will come back later to haunt Templeton, 8) Monk, Cheese, Chris and Marlo are all in jail talking about their cases. During this talk Monk mentions that Omar was calling out Marlo's name and Marlo gets mad that his name was out in the streets. He is mad at Chris for not telling him that Omar was calling him out. Chris thought Marlo didn't need to know about Omar calling him out, 9) During these talks they notice that Snoop and Michael are not arrested. Marlo asks Chris if he thinks Michael is a snith and they both don't think he is - but they won't bet their future on it so they get Snoop to kill Michael, (more on this later) 10) Jay gets mad at McNulty because the serial killer is still not solved with all the man power given to the case, 11) Michael tells someone that the police are looking for Kenard and that person says some Pemlaco (sp?) boys ran up on Omar with 3 AKs (obviously this is a rumor), 12) Namond is participating in a debate for the Urban Debate League and looks to be doing well - although he has gained a lot of weight since last season LOL, 13) Gus has a meal with Narece and is told that Daniels didn't stab Burrell in the back like Templeton's quote said so last year, 14) Herc is partying with the police and shares insider information with Levy about the police department (no money, a lot of overtime on the serial killer case, a possible wire tap from Lester), 15) Bubs is still doing well. He has his one year sober anniversary. He finally talked about grieving for Sherrod, 16) Davis meets Lester in a bar and tells him that the attorneys are very dirty - in fact Levy is one of the worst and that Levy has a leak in the courthouse, 17) Gus went to a rehab center to verify the war veteran's story from Templeton -- it turns out the rehabbing vet also confirms the other vet is not a liar and that Templeton probably lied, 18) Kima asked Carver how he felt about reporting Callicio because she is going to tell Daniels about McNulty's illegal wiretap. Later in the episode she did tell Daniels, 19) Bubs real name is Reginald, 20) Snoop picked up Michael to go kill someone else but Michael killed Snoop instead because he knew she was there to kill him. He asked her why and she told him that he was always asking questions and that he was never part of their crew and that Marlo thought he may be the snitch. Afterward Michael shot her in the head and walked off, 21) Michael went home and picked up Bug and Dookie. He dropped Bug off at his aunt's house in the suburbs and dropped off Dookie in the junk yard. He has to distance himself from them since he killed Snoop. This was so sad, 22) Lastly, Omar was not even mentioned in this episode. He is dead and gone so please people, let him go. Finale Notes: 1) Rawls knows the story and gets mad at McNulty, 2) Dookie looks like he is on drugs, 3) Templeton looks like he got caught in his lies, 4) Marlo is out on the street and swings on someone on the corner, 5) Cheese kills Rick. mrod -- *Nationwide* -- Edited by mrod1975 at 02/24/2008 5:59 PM

In response to Kima "snitching" on McNulty...I think that a a lot of people have forgotten the real reason he did what he did. No one was noticing the murders of the black lower class black people! That's what galled him and why he went to such extremes. Maybe if he'd explained it better to Kim then she would have understood. Lester was helping him! But everyone is being hard on McNulty. The only thing he is guilty of is abusing the system to sate others... -- Wired All the Time

Just when I start to hate the writers (the killing of Omar will always be bogus to me) I can't help but love them again. I watched 59 last night (I avoided coming in because I knew there would be a minute by minute synopsis...lol). There were some powerful scenes in there. I wanted to stand up and applaud after the Mike and Snoop scene. The lines...the delivery...the apathetic look on Snoop's face through the window...FANTASTIC! Classic Wire all the way! The scene with Mike, his brother, and Dook also were good as well as the Marlo outburst. I fell in love all over again with the show. It's going to hurt next week when the credits star rolling... Most people who get molested aren't gay. Gay people are homosexual- from birth. Michael isn't going to start liking little boys in the fianale- my goodness. Speaking of gay dudes- real gay dudes...Omar is dead. The man got a sunroof in his head last week. He and Tupac aren't coming back, or relaxing in the Carribean. Kima is a cop, sworn to uphold the law. McNulty didn't plant guns on criminals, falsify a litte evidence. This guy did the unthinkable- not do *real police* work. I didn't like that she revealed that, but she did what she thought she had to do. And at least she went to Daniels. Plus, you folks have to look at Kima. She loves the job (and is more honest to it) than her previous own relationship. McNulty should have never told her. Bubs gets clean, likely a story about in the Sun, and talks about Sherrod. But his sister doesn't show up. That's Simon saying I'll give you one happy ending folks, but I'm not putting a bow on that mother f*cker for you.

Just because someone is molested does not make them gay. At worst, it may make them want to molest someone else. At any rate, I don't see Mike swinging either way. Besides, I think with Chris handling the freak step-father the way he did, Mike is at peace with that mess, especially knowing he saved Bug from the same. My feeling is they are going to try to catch the leak in the courthouse by putting Chris up on the stand and they will wind up gettinng his people kille dfor their trouble. Also, Snoop is the one who dimed the po-lice about the re-supply meeting with the Greeks people. Now we no that isn't true, but dead men can't say otherwise. The police will just say that Marlo had her killed for snitching on him.

shakedeez > I hope Dukie finds his way. The smartest person in > the hood a junk man. Thats a heart breaker yeah man. how real is that? it dont get no realer. mrod & tizzle88 --- > > rick is one of the co-op members who 1) thought marlo > killed prop joe and 2) made a million dollars by > buying/selling property and 3) was told by Marlo to > "shut the fuck up" during a co-op meeting about his > million dollar real estate come up. Rick is also 4) the guy who brought up putting Marlo down with the co-op in the first place 5) the guy who cried when Renaldo and Omar robbed him. *Mike is def. gonna go the path of Omar. He never really got a thrill from hustling, he just did it to survive. Thats why he didnt take Bodie's offer of a promotion, why he'd dip on the corner all the time and let Spider run it day to day. He much preferred puttin' in work with Chris and Snoop. He's a thinker and a warrior, and has a problem with authority like so many of the Wire's best characters. He needs to keep shoe boxes of cash coming to his aunt in exchange for her caring for his beloved little brother. He cant be out in the open hustling and once he gets the habit of robbin cats, he wont turn back. *Kima is loyal to Daniels first; she's by the book on the job, regardless of her personal faults; and she knows McNulty has no exit strategy (allusion to Iraq?) so she is giving her rabbi in the department a heads-up before the shit hits the fan. She trusts Daniels to clean up the mess, and he will--he's no stranger to burying skeletons. You're right though, the Mayor needs the bust to stick and the homeless killing to resolve itself. Agree also Kima interviewing the families played a role. *Mike's mom is the 1st unknown informant; she's as good as dead. I have a feeling Mike and Marlo will have it out before its all said and done. Mike I think gets the best of him. *Herk is the 2nd unknown informant for the drug cases, which violates lawyer-client confidentiality. Marlo is gonna be seeing a lot of his attorney and he's too smart to let a dumb-ass like Herk outsmart him for long. If Marlo puts two and two together, Herk might be the one in the casket. *Levy might work it out with Rhonda that Chris and Snoop (posthumously) take the 22 bodies if they drop the flawed drug charges on marlo monk and cheese. I could see that. *Gotta wonder if the Greeks threw Marlo to the wolves on purpose. Or if they will still now that he is too hot to deal with. At this point, Carver no > longer even remembers Randy's name "remember... THAT > kid..." But his action was just as faulty as Rawls > gutting MCU and Herc (unintentionally) fucking up > Bunk's investigation. Yeah man thats what the Wire is about--people putting their head down living in a state of tunnelvision while people suffer because of it. Thats the modern mode of living, sadly. The Matrix basically. -- Edited by DaleMabry at 02/26/2008 12:40 AM
