I want to know what people think is the best scene of the entire show...
Mine's is two...
the scene in season 3 where Omar and Brother Mouzone had their stand-off in the alley
and the scene in which both Omar and Mouzone killed Stringer in the warehouse...
classics...
Let me know what y'all think is the best scene of the show...all seasons do apply...

i'm sorry but i can't pick just one scene. the whole fuckin show is classic! it WILL most likely get snubbed at the emmy's for a fifth and final time but damn was this the best thing ever made in involving entertainment and education or what? i still feel the show has many stories to tell. they should make a miniseries, a movie, or another season. WHY THE FUCK DOES A PIECE OF SHIT SHOW LIKE THE SOPRANOS GET A FINAL SEASON OF 21 EPISODES WHEN A BRILLIANT SHOW LIKE THE WIRE GETS 10? WHAT THE FUCK?!

Best scene of the entire series in when Bird is in the interrogation room and Kima comes in and he keeps calling her a dyke cunt eater. Then Landsman comes in and when he walks out Bird says, "and take this ugly cunt eater with you". Classic.

probably have to go with Omar smacking Slim Charles in the hallway, simply because that Go Go from Trouble Funk was blasting from Slim's crib

after much thought and reading all the other posts, i would have to say:
season 2. When Ziggy shoots Glekas in cold blood after Glekas cuts his share, for the cars, then kicks his butt right out of the warehouse. then Zig just sits in the car, freaking, waiting to be picked up

Great Topic:
Stringer leaning over to McNulty, sho is sitting outside the court room at Avon sentencing, distraught: "Nicely done." Two words but POWERFUL as all hell.
Bodie and McNulty sitting in the park, Bodie raw emotion as he tells McNulty "Marlo got to fall, he GOT to."
"GET ON WITH IT MOTHERFUCKERS !!" - Stringer death scene and Bunny Colvin firing scene. AWESOME.
Greggs shooting scene, great depiction of how police pull together in those situations.
Single funniest delivery of a line, it's understated but I nearly pissed myself, Prop Joe: "Ain't gonna be easy tryin to civilize this muthafucka." Referring to Marlo after the dumbass couldn't fathom looking at his bank balance on a computer. LMFAO !!!!!!

If we going by season-by-season, then...
Season 1: I LOVED the one with Bunk and McNulty with that whole "f**k...motherf****r...oh f**k)", but favorite there was with Bodie and Poot doing Wallace...that was hard to see...
Season 2: My favorite was Frank Sobotka walking down towards Vondas and the Greek, as he was about to flip on them and tell them off while Vondas gets the call from the FBI connect that Sobotka was gonna flip, and you see Sobotka walking to his death...runner up has to be Omar in court, watching Bird so pissed had to make you laugh...
Season 3: y'all know where I stand with both Omar scenes, but the most powerful was Avon/Stringer at Avon's crib the night before, with both reminiscing before turning on each other...that was good...
Season 4: I don't know what was more emotional: seeing Randy burnt and bloodied at the hospital and Carver feelin like s**t that it was his fault Miss Anna burned up, or watching Carver give Randy to the group home and the fate that lied and having exactly nothing he could do about it...
Season 5: minus the series finale, i'd say between Omar's death (I hated to see that), Joe's death, and the Michael/Dukie/Bug farewell...

This is hard as hell but I'll try. Season by season is a safe way to go.
S1: The McNulty and Bunk scene telling a whole story saying only fuck.
S2: The scene where the Greeks stepped to Cheese and his crew, pulling out the guns when they jumped bad.
S3: Avon and Stringer in the room when String confesses to the murder. And when Slim refused to kill Clay Davis for Stringer. And when Stringer got his . (notice a pattern? lol)
S4: When Bubble's mentor came to visit him it the hospital after the boy died. That hit a brutha hard to see him break down like that.
S5: Snoop and Mike last scene. Mike, Bugs, and Dookie whole scene. And the eralier scene where Avon met Marlo in jail.

That was it for me. I believe the show was originally intended to run for just the three seasons, and you could see how that scene was intended to be the climax of the entire series and the prelude to an inevitable ending. Very powerful acting by Idris Elba.
But you're right, there have been so many good scenes over the 5 seasons. Hopefully the best yet will be on Sunday.

Impossible to chose one.
Season One: When Bodie and Poot kills Wallace, the shit gave me shivers, and to watch Wallace beg for his life like that, man I tell ya that shit hurt me to the core. I remember reading David saying how the whole crew was just quiet when they did that scene, like they were hurt too. Also Dangelo's scene in the interrogation room.
Season Two: Omar court scene, and McNulty crashing the car twice was classic.
Season Three: Stringer fessing up to Avon, Avon and Strings last convo on the balcony, Stringer getting offed, .....just too damn many to name.
Season Four: I fucking pissed myself scene lol, Carver Randy scene in the hospital and the one at the home, When Prez gave Dukie a sandwich, Clay Davis's Sheeeiiiiiit, Chris beating down Mike pops, Bodie/McNulty scene in the park
Season Five: Mike killing Snoop, Marlo killing Prop Joe, McNulty becoming the serial killer while bunk looks in amazment

I got 2 scenes.
The whole Mike, Dukie and Bugs scene became a instant classic. That shit was just so real and sad at the same time.
2nd is season one when Dee was teaching Bodie and Wallace how to play Chess. That shit was genius.
