Your right I forgot about them. I was just thinking of the main characters. Omar and Mike both being main characters is another reason why people might automatically say that Mike is the new Omar. Just a thought.

We know of at least two others: Kimmie and Tosha. Not counting Brandon, Bailey, Dante, and Renaldo as we never saw them do a stickup on their own. A small matter I know, just trying to keep things accurate.

I don't think Mike was the New Omar. Just because he stuck those guys in the shop up does not mean anything. He needed money. He had to rob someone. He had too many people after him and there was no way he would be able to pull off being Omar.

I don't see Mike as the NEW Omar but he is another one of the stick up guys. I do think, and this is my impression, that Omar had contempt for dealers. Yeah he robbed them of their product and resold it but I think he had contempt for them and had no problem killing them at all. I dont think Mike has that same killer instinct or cold bloodedness (if that is a word) from what was presented in the show.

I think Mike has contempt too for the game from his own personal experience and his make up, he wasnt a do what your told kind of person, plus I dont think he was as ruthless as Omar.

The two may be similiar but I never saw them as the same type of person.

When people say that Mike is the new Omar I don't think they mean it literally. Mike is not gonna be exactly like Omar. They mean that in the scheme of the story he is the new stick up kid. You said Baltimore has alot of stick up kids. That may be true but we only know of Omar in this story. If one stick up kid dies and we see another sticking someone up, we're gonna come to the conclusion that he's the new stick up kid (Omar) in this story. Don't take it so literally.

That doesn't mean he gave it all away. He gave out enough to keep the neighborhood looking out for him. The rest he sold, like he was doing at that particular moment. Regular dealers gave out testers to create a market. Omar gave out stuff to gain protection. Giving away free dope isn't exactly helping the people, so the Robin Hood tag doesn't fit to me.

Not in the business of selling 20+ kilos. Doesn't mean he won't sell off a package he stole. That's a one day thing.

> Omar banked the cash. He gave the drugs to Butchie or

Never saw Omar give Butchie anything but cash. He flushed Marlo's stuff because it was personal.

Absolutely true. But in his own words, "As for me not taking his product, well, a man gotta make a living." He had to eat somehow.

> Omar was a humble man who lived a frugal existence.
> Despite his wealth, he was not materialistic.

All that means is that he put all the money away. He did make it though. The idea that he would steal a package and give it away to protect himself from the folks he stole the package from doesn't make sense. There had to be some monetary benefit, and the only way to make money off a bag of dope is to sell it. Otherwise, he starves.

The junkies came to him because he had a reputation of giving it away for free. They knew Omar had a soft heart. He mentioned that he usually gave away two packages to the neighborhood junkies. In return, they gave him intel and looked out for him.

Omar mentioned in Season 4 that he wasn't in the business of selling drugs. That's why he sold his share of the shipment back to Joe. Kimmy & the other stick-up kids took their product and left.

Omar banked the cash. He gave the drugs to Butchie or the rest of his crew. Sometimes he flushed the drugs.

He always said it was never about the money or the drugs. He got a visceral satisfaction from robbing dealers.

Omar was a humble man who lived a frugal existence. Despite his wealth, he was not materialistic.

Is this really so? In season one he "hooked a sista up." If he were giving it away for free, couldn't she have just walked up to the kid and got served? I think he did sell the dope. Maybe at a lower price, but he sold it. There's no other way he could have turned it into money, and he was banking something.

Don't get it twisted. Omar was not the typical stick-up kid. He was a very special case.

Omar was an original. He never sold drugs. He wasn't motivated by money. Omar gave away free drugs. That's how he got the reputation as Robin Hood. He stole from dealers and gave to the poor. Omar was friendly with the police. He snitched when it suited his sense of justice and got favors in return. Omar lived by a moral code and enforced it on the streets. He was judge, jury and sometimes executioner. He had a reputation as a superhero.

The majority of stick-up kids are out to make fast easy money. They rip and run. Most of them are also drug dealers. They take the cash and sell the product.

There are always plenty of stick-up kids in Baltimore. But there will never be another "Omar". He was the last of a dying breed.

RIP Omar Devon Little.

We know that Omar was the best in the game. Don't forget that entire police department was familiar with Omar. The New Day CO-OP had dealers from all over Baltimore and they all respected Omar. As far as the drug game it isn't as big of a problem in North and South Baltimore. Look at what majors run those districts (Valchek for example). We know that other people are out there doing their thing, but nobody has hit the major players in the game like Omar.

Lol get outta here wit dat shit! lol... We dont know about no other stick up dudes in B-More. We dont know who doing they thing in East B-More or South B-More, we only see West B-More. We dont know if Omar Mike Jordan, Magic or Bird. For all we know that nigga might be B.J Armstrong. We grew to love O because we watching his story. That dont mean he the best stick up nigga in B-More. On top of that who is to say Mike will be the best stick up kid in B-More? Its funny how people be talking about these characters like there isnt any other kids doing Mike type shit in the city. We dont know about the other 600 kids on the streets just like him. We dont know if one of them other 600 is already robbin niggaz left and right. Come on look at the big picture of the story being told. Mike, Dukie, Namond and Randy aint the only kids in the hood wit no guidence and hope.

I don't know Jack. it makes since that Mike take more to Chris, however Chris is a soldier, a general but still a soldier. Remember generals takes orders from the president, no questions asked. Mike can't help but to ask questions. Mike still believes in justified murder. Marlow and Chris didn't like Snoop said "deserve ain't got nothing to doo with it."
I don't see mike as the next Omar either, but I think people are making the comparrison because of the Omar prequel. In the prequel Omar believed in"justfied robbery"oximoron I know. But Omar didn't move on anybody who didn't deserve it. I think that's why Mike reflects Omar a little bit more than Chris. Even better like the opening thread said Mike is just another stick-up kid maybe just with the characteristics of Chris and Omar. Shit that's a whole new breed!!!!
HA HA If Chris and Omar had a baby it would be Mike
