I was wondering who people thought did not make it through the last episode alive? I believe one of the cops doesn't make it --**Potential SPOILER below!** I read an article in the Guardian about the last week of production and Dominic West stated that they were filming a cop wake scene, so I feel pretty confidently that one of them is not going to make it through the end. In addition to the above mentioned, who do you think is not going to make it and why?

We've seen the outcome for one of our four young friends -- Namond, who's thriving under the Colvins' care. The other three lives remain in the balance.
Predictions:
Michael becomes the new Omar. After killing Snoop, he's an outsider on the run. He'll need to hide in the shadows, keep his whereabouts a mystery, and steal from other criminals.
Dukie becomes the new Bubbles. Dukie's homeless with no hope or prospects, and a group of heroin addicts is the closest thing that he has to a family. He'll become an addict himself, roaming the streets either with his arabber friend or with a cart full of junk to sell.
Randy's future depends on whether the show's creators decide to connect the "Wagstaff" name. If Cheese dies (which is likely, considering his betrayal of Prop Joe and the way he's overstepped his boundaries), Randy could inherit Prop Joe's estate. If Randy's last name is never addressed, however, we've already seen his fate -- an angry, tough young man who's the product of his tragic childhood.

Dukie's an intelligent kid. There's a difference. Dukie's innocent and naive, and he lacks any street-smarts. The corner was no place for Dukie to be, and Michael knew that.
When we saw Namond Brice at his debate, we got a glimpse of what life could have been like for Dukie under different circumstances. Dukie would have excelled in high school, graduated from college, and achieved in adulthood. Too bad there aren't enough Bunny Colvins to save every boy in need.

I don't think Dukie was trying to manipulate Mike. He was going back to a time in their past when he felt like he and Mike really became friends. He seemed to be longing for those days when life was not as difficult. Mike has been forced to grow up so fast that he probably truly doesn't remember. That was the saddest scene in the whole series for me. Heartbreaking. These children are the tragedy of the show and of the streets.

queen...I wouldn't call it stupid! Dukie is alone, lonely, and has no one to love him, and care for him. He's hurting, and just feels worthless. He needs a friend. He wants those good ol days back when he and his friends were throwing ballons at those guys. He just doesn't know what to do with himself, or where to really turn. I really hope the season finale will show Dukie either staying with Prez, or Prez hooked him up with some peeps he knows. I always liked Dukie's character. He's so innocent. As was probably Omar when he was 2 years old, and the same for Marlo, Cheese, Stringer Bell, Bodie, and a lot of them other MF's. But we see what happened to them, right?
Sometimes family can really ruin a child. Dukie is a perfect example of that.

They were at the apartment. Obviously Dukie had enough time to pack a backpack. Of course he would take his money. That's the first thing a logical person would grab on such short notice. Even if he doesn't have a bank account, he should have a roll of bills at least.
Dukie is supposed to be a smart kid. Why is he acting so stupid?

wondrous...that really would be a nice scenario if Prez is telling Dukie, as he pulls away in his car, and Dukie's at a new home like Namond is, "I guess I won't be seeing you anymore..."
But of course previews don't tell everything. Maybe Prez says, "I guess I won't be seeing you anymore...in the alley, or on the street selling drugs because now you have a new home, new parents, and they will care for you!"
I hate previews anyway. I learned that a long time ago when everyone was hysterically awaiting the season opener for "Dallas", to see who shot JR. The previews led you to believe that it was his wife, Sue Ellen, or Cliff Barnes, his arch enemy. I kept telling everyone, "It's neither of them". Previews are deceiving, and they don't show what really happens.
When the Dallas season premiere opened in late fall of 1980, over 350 million viewers worldwide tuned in, 30 million from California, Oregon, & Seattle alone. (I lived in California at that time). It was actually Sue Ellen's sister, Kristen, who had shot JR. That was the beginning of season finale cliffhangers, and history was made from that show.

Cutty had already basically let Dukie know he didn't know how to help him with anything but best wishes so going to the teacher makes more sense for him - at least the teacher fed him and provided him with clean clothes before so he knows he cares.. Mike may have even paid Dukie well but he didn't tell him to grab any savings and he couldn't return to their apt. to get anything..and you know these kids didn't do bank accounts.. in fact it looks like Mike was leaving with very little for himself either since the aunt just took it all..
anyway my point in all of this is the situation is sad for them all and that is the reality
